– Message from Kohei Terada
I am deeply honored to succeed Ms. Kazuko Aso, the founding Chair of the Board of Trustees of the ACC Japan Foundation, and I feel a profound sense of responsibility in assuming this role.
Through ACC’s work as a bridge between Japan and the world, I hope to further deepen cross-border cultural exchange and, through multifaceted forms of support, encourage the next generation of artists to engage with diverse perspectives and pursue new creative possibilities.

– About the ACC Japan Foundation
ACC established its first office in Asia in Tokyo in 1983 with the support of Mr. Seiji Tsutsumi and the Seibu Saison Group, marking a major expansion of its activities in Japan. Since then, ACC’s grant programs in Japan have flourished. In 2018, the ACC Japan Foundation was established to further strengthen these initiatives, assuming responsibility for the Japan office’s operations. Today, the ACC Japan Foundation administers four fellowship and grant programs — New York Fellowships, Individual Fellowships, Graduate Fellowships, and Organizational Grants — supporting the international mobility of Japanese artists and researchers, as well as inviting overseas artists to Japan. The Foundation also engages in fundraising activities to sustain and expand these programs.
